Email Marketing & Automation Specialist (Mailchimp) — B2B Project
HYBRID/REMOTE
VIEW JOB DESCRIPTION
Contract type:
Freelance / project-based, with potential ongoing hourly support
Estimated duration: 2-4 weeks initial project, roughly half-time hours (negotiable — hourly or flat project rate)
Client: One B2B client (large organization, not e-commerce or small business)
We're looking for a Mailchimp expert to build out 3-5 automated email flows for a B2B client, plus provide advisory input on best practices for connecting website forms to Salesforce D365 (a related but separate consulting/advisory need).
This is a hands-on execution role! You'll design, build, and QA the flows yourself in Mailchimp.
Key Responsibilities:
• Build 3-5 email automation flows in Mailchimp (e.g., lead nurture, onboarding, re-engagement — standard B2B nurture sequences rather than e-commerce flows)
• Set up supporting audience segmentation and tagging structure to drive those flows
• Advise on best practices for website form integration with Salesforce D365 (guidance/recommendations only — not a build)
• QA all flows: correct links, merge tags, segmentation logic, and rendering before handoff
• Deliver a short handoff summary at project completion covering what was built, how it's tagged/segmented, and any recommendations for the team to maintain it going forward
• Ongoing support after initial build: available on an hourly, as-needed basis
Who You Are:
• Required: Deep, hands-on Mailchimp expertise — advanced automation features, tagging, segmentation, and behavioral triggers.
• Required: Experience building B2B lead nurture and lifecycle flows specifically. This is not a consumer/e-commerce email role.
• 3-5+ years of hands-on email marketing/marketing automation experience; agency experience is a plus
• Familiarity with A/B testing, list hygiene, and deliverability fundamentals
• Comfortable working independently on a short, defined project timeline and communicating clearly with a small team
• Detail-oriented — you double-check links, tags, and segmentation logic before calling something done
• Some familiarity with how web forms typically connect to a CRM (Salesforce D365 specifically is a plus, but not required)
Who We Are:
We’re a team of creative thinkers who believe no great success ever came from playing it safe. People who hire redpepper want more than just an ad agency. They want to make sense of the world where marketing, technology, and human behavior collide. They want to connect to consumers in a relevant, engaging, valuable way that connects back to the metrics. They want solutions, not just ads.
We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and do not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, sex, age, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity and/or expression, status as a veteran, and basis of disability or any other federal, state, or local protected class.
